Ultimately, even the present day Presbyterian is ‘reforming’ back to the bible; sadly, what we hold dear is not what Westminster held-it is a ‘deformed’ understanding. We are much closer than the ‘Particulars’, obviously, but not fully Westminsterian. One is headed in the correct direction and the other in the wrong. The ‘Particulars’ remain indignant towards Westminster and reformation, whether you agree or not. Yes, the ‘Particulars’ embrace some of the main tenets and that is to be appreciated; however, it cannot be said that you are reforming per se as the title is born out of Westminster and is attributed to their theology. To think Westminster is to reform.
