Discipleship

To be accurate, ‘discipleship’ is not synonymous with actual regeneration. Judas was a disciple, as was Ananias, Saphira and Demas. To be a disciple is to be a student of Christ and the words of Christ. It is a man or woman actively involved in learning the things of God. Surely there are unregenerates and even reprobates in these ranks. Being born again is a miracle of God alone; there is nothing that a man can do to initiate this miracle; Salvation is totally monergistic. Much like Lazarus, God calls dead men and men rightly respond in the same way creation responded, rightly, bowing before His majesty.
