There are surely dispensations in the economy of God. Certain epochs mark out decrees and moves of God and His people. However, if you follow a dispensational pattern by say, C. Ryrie or Scofield, you have abandoned the pattern of Holy writ for a novelty. If you call yourself Calvinist and hold to a dispensational theology like this, as Gerstner puts it, it is at best, ‘dubious’.
