There are no ‘white lies’; there is absolutely no reason to lie; especially to your children, i.e. those whom you have been commanded to ‘rear in the way they should go’. It will only come back to haunt you. If your child sees you inconsistent in this manner, how are they to not consider your inconsistency in other manners?
