“What is addressed to infidels may be profitable to
believers; what is addressed to believers may be profitable to
infidels. As to the latter, everything in Christian preaching is
adapted to convert them; as to believers, do they not, in one sense, always need to be converted?”

~Alexander Vinet
It’s quite interesting what Vinet writes; He lumps ‘believers’ into two categories (If I am understanding him here), believers that are regenerated and and believers who are regenerated and not yet converted.
